The Afro Banana Republic Vol. 1 launches its debut release with a hot selection of trax from label natives Cusack, Alexis Baitelman and head honcho Cotsios o Pikatillis. The sound of the label is characterized by a fusion of house, techno, afrobeat, funk and latin.
The song "Just Lee" feat. Andreas Lee Panteli on keys is a classic sounding afro number with a modern production twist and strong funk party vibe, whilst Cusack’s “Who r u?” under his “Neti Neti” alias takes it deep and slow, driven by analog bass and 808 beats. Baitelman as “YO DKIO” on Sweet Mama chops up and samples “Aleke Kanonu - Mothers Day” and builds it up into 4/4 dance floor mover.
